I was really looking forward to getting back to normal this week after my difficult week last week but my body had other ideas. Sunday evening my stomach started feeling a little off. Monday all day I had diarrhea and stomach cramping, took 2 naps and had a major headache in the evening. Ugh! Good thing it was my day off this week!
I was hoping for it to be a 24 hour thing and I did feel a bit better on Tuesday with no diarrhea but since I missed all last week due to work along with the Friday and most of Thursday the week before that I couldn't really call in to work so I sucked it up, washed my hands a lot and went to work. I felt okay after work so I went to Tae Kwon Do class. Did okay but felt a little shaky and had to stop when they had us doing a lot of spinning kicks. But I weathered through it and went to bed.
Wednesday morning I woke up with diarrhea again but took something for it and it went away but still felt a little off with stomach upset. I had a sandwich for lunch on gluten free bread, a banana and greek yogurt for the probiotic effects and things calmed down a bit. So I was not on my regular diet since the veggies and salad I normally eat didn't sit well. I was about 80% better but still not great. Went to my mom's to start cleaning out some of her stuff and got a little bit done.
Thursday I had just gas all day. It was NOT fun but still better than the previous days. FINALLY last night I started to feel normal after my workout but during my workout I still felt a little shaky.
Today I finally felt 100% back to normal but when I wanted to work out I ended up falling asleep on the couch so I guess I still needed the rest. Tomorrow I plan to sleep in and then go to the gym and do run/walk intervals on the treadmill.
So this week was not back to normal but next week FOR SURE I will work out for SIX DAYS! I'm looking forward to it! Here's to better health!
