Last night we went out to dinner to Kell's Irish Pub - I ordered a diet coke and looked over the menu. To stay on track I might have opted for the veggie wrap(tortilla=not Paleo) or hummus plate(pita,chickpeas=not Paleo) but since doing all this reading on Paleo I talked my BF into sharing the sweet potato fries and then I had the shepperd's pie for dinner (potatoes, ground beef, peas, carrots, onions, gravy). I'm pretty sure I stayed within my calories and it tasted great!
We came home and I probably would have not ran but we my BF and I had a small disagreement so I put on my shoes to run off some steam (he came out to the garage and stopped me after a couple minutes to give me a hug and make everything all better - I love him so much!!!) I finished my 4 miles, took a shower, and then pretty much feel asleep. I was wiped.
I woke up this morning, sore, and considered skipping my run since I ran the night before but I got up anyways. I was going to try another 4 miles but ended up cutting it short at 2.5, wiped and knowing that I'm going to want to do my long run (8 miles) tomorrow (or Sunday if I decide to rest Saturday instead).
But before I got on the treadmill I got on the scale - AND MY JAW DROPPED! Now, I was surprise to see a 144.0 yesterday... totally happy. This morning it was 142.2! I looked in the mirror and basically just didn't believe it. Wild. I wonder how much is cutting out grains and dairy? Plus I got my 500 monthly minutes trophy this morning - yay!
This morning there are bagels and cream cheese in the kitchen here at work - NO THANK YOU!!! I will be having strawberries again for breakfast - yum!
