Gunner's Blog

Voted Popular Blog Post: View All Popular Posts

Audrey and I decided that, in light of yesterday’s events, Gunner deserved his own blog today. In case you didn’t know, we had to say goodbye to our lovable, goofy, photobombing Gunner yesterday. Thing is, he deserves his own blog because he wasn’t just a dog. He was a SparkDog. He kinda had his own little following on here, because of his extreme, ninja-like, photobombing abilities.

Gunner the Geek

Gunner appeared in our very first vlog:

And he was in just about every vlog we posted after that. It was rarely planned. That’s what made it so funny. We’d usually be hooping or doing something in the backyard, and he’d randomly walk through. There could be hoops going everywhere, teenagers all over the yard. Gunner would stroll right through, like it was no big deal, like he didn’t even notice what was going on. Doo dee doo, nothing to see here. Often, we didn’t even realize he was there until afterwards, when we were watching the footage. Ninja Dog. Or, I’d be working out in the living room and you’d see him lying on the floor, oblivious to all the lunges in the world. Unflappable.

Gunner, the Reluctant CameraDog

While Gunner tolerated the guys in our house, he was totally devoted to the girls. He was our dog, so it makes sense that he would share our SparkJourney and you would get to know him too. He was a fun, happy dog, and lived a long life. At 14-16 years old, we considered him to be the World’s Oldest Puppy. We’ll miss him. We already do.

Angelic Gunner. We took this last week, for a Creative Journal entry. How fitting it is now!

Memorial we made for him in our backyard.

Thanks for making our goofy, silly dog a part of SparkWorld!
