I'm an Accidental Jogger! :))

Friday, April 19, 2013

Wednesday I walked the dog to the park. Ordinary enough, except I haven't walked for WEEKS emoticon

No wonder my scale went up instead of down!!

On my walk, I realized I should be picking up a kid from volley ball practice so I turned around and headed back walking as fast as I could. In a bit of a panic, I actually JOGGED 70 steps in a row!!!! emoticon emoticon YIKES!!!! Had to walk a few and then jogged 5 more.

I haven't ran in 25 YEARS! (except those momentary toddler chasing incidents, but those don't count)

Scale went down 1.5 lbs emoticon

Your body and your pouch likes running- why don't you join the Spark Official 5km walk/run team? Your dog will be thankful too.
Bless you

Way to go. Other people have the same suggestion I do and that is adding intervals. I followed a Run Your Butt Off program and though walking is good, you do burn significantly more calories running. But any moving you do is great!

You've just accidently started your "interval training." LOL
Could it become a habit?

Maybe you want to add some more short bursts of running/jogging into your walks?!
