Ate an artichoke, for the first time. That was interesting, but yummy esp. the choke, so yeah, I'll be picking up one of those bad boys again soon, God willing.
Stepped on the scale today, haven't done that for a while because I have been paying closer attention to "non-scale victories" but yeah went ahead and did it. Down another 2.1 lbs. That makes a total of 43, and an average loss of 2.52 lb. a week.
Now before you say, that's too high! that's too much to lose at once, I have not lost more than 2 lb. a week for the last oh, I'd say at least 2 and a half months. I lost a LOT of water weight at the beginning so the puffiness went away really fast. I am ok with losing 2 lb. a week, no more though, I do believe that would be dangerous, unhealthy, and for me, It'd be so fast I wouldn't have time to really build the healthy habits I am creating now.
Which leads me to exercise and nutrition. Today is Brooke's birthday. Cake is on the menu. I will be only eating a small breakfast and lunch so I can squeeze in some yummy cake. Spinach, eggs and at least one corn tortilla is on the menu. Not sure what else yet. Rainy, so wanted to run yesterday, was WHOOPED from playing outside with the girls and my aerobics, even got to fly a kite, so yeah, if the rain stops maybe a 7.5 mile bike ride or a jog. Otherwise my back up is aerobics and strength training.
Oh yes, I have a back up because I know me, this discipline thing is a strange bird, but I am really, truly starting to enjoy it. God is so good. I love the way he reprograms us to be more and more like him. All the honor, glory and praise is his alone! Happy Friday, and I'll leave you with this. One of my favorites right now,
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2
