Yay! Tomorrow is the first archery Event of the season!
I cannot wait to feel my bow in my hands again.
The last couple of years I have not been able to attend very many archery practices, and I am not seeing this year be much better. Still I intend to try where I can.
The dart board in the basement simply isn't satisfying enough.
Last night I got on the treadmill for the first time in two weeks. I have been, as I promised myself, finding my exercise outdoors of late. Mostly though it's been brisk walks and I wanted a good hard track-able workout.
I have pre-register for my first 5k to happen in September. I have been saying for a long time I want to do one (bucket list) and I finally found one that in not only close but cool.
Last night I did 5k in 39min 20sec.
I ran 20 minutes and walked the rest in intervals.
I felt that physically I could have pushed harder, but I also did not want to risk damaging myself. My goal is to slowly amp up the pace, drop the time, and give my body time to adjust!
I was looking back at my old blogs and saw one from 4/24/08 in which I proudly announced that I had managed the distance in 42 minutes and wondered if that meant I was ready to go for it.
Shortly after that I fell off the wagon.
This time I will do it.
