Well I'm still here and still dieting! Aren't we all?
Having felt great last year and lost loads of wieght I reached a plateau at about 14st 6lb. went up and down a bit but just couldn't get past that barrier.
That's really demotivating, but I tried everything more exercise, less food, nothing worked though I did get fitter,
I seem to have at last found my answer..... beans. the humble bean has helped me begin to loose weight again. I've substituted any bean for any high GI carb my family was eating at meals( I was on a strict paleo, so low carbs) and the effect has been astonishing, Ive lost 3lb on the previous two consecutive weeks.
This morning I was down to below 14st for the first time since last summer. Thats my lowest weight for many years.
The beans I do anyway, from with garlic as a salad to squished into a pate. Not exciting, but it's conquered my hunger.
I still have cheat day one day week, and even then I don't go crazy anymore. The beans seem to have given me my control back.. and if I rinse them really well no farting!!! Honest.

    I've been cycling up and down 170-175lbs for about four months! Like you, I'm an awful lot fitter than I was, but my measurements haven't changed! Thanks for the beans tip, I'll give it a go. I live on my own, so only my cats will complain if I fart! Though karate might be interesting! emoticon
