by chance, does anyone know how to nail Jello to a wall?

Friday, April 19, 2013

so today at one of my jobs on the calendar it said "raising a teenager is like nailing Jello to a wall". I was hoping someone out there had any advise. It is my experience that maybe nailing Jello is much easier some days than dealing with a teenager.

I'm thinking that maybe a jiggler will work? hrmmmm maybe I will try that later

I knew this would have to do with a teenager. I raised, and survived, 3 of them. They are all very good people in their 20s now. Two things/bits of advice regarding teens. 1 - teenagers are the reason some animals eat their young and 2 - (I was told this by a counselor I went to) ALL humans lose their minds between the ages of 15 and 25. Scary - You MUST have your nose in their business - sometimes without being obvious - and know who their friends are. Their "associates" can make or break them.

Good luck! Pat emoticon

ha ha ha I hear ya on that!! Thank the GODS my oldest one is going off to the college dorms in a few months, one day he's the greatest little dude on earth, the next he is impossible. I'll only have one more of my own left to finish raising, and he is 15. So far he hasn't been hard. Some of them come into it later than others. That was my experience with my daughters, too.

emoticon Raising a teenager can be just like nailing Jello. Some slip and slime out of your grasp, especially when you hold them too tight. But not all teenagers are like Jello. Some tend to be like Jigglers and are firmer than regular Jello. They will stick when you throw them at the wall and always be there when you need them.
I was blessed with both kinds of Jello although my loose cannon is now becoming a solid man. I believe Peanut is more Jiggler than Jello. From things you have written about she has a solid head on her shoulders and is a great support for you. If she sometimes does things you aren't wild about, think of all the things she does that makes you proud.

Oh my nooooooo. Jiggling, they do that well.. It doesn't even work at gack consistency..we tried LOL You make sure the Jello spills onto something you both like, yet the jello remains transparent so that you can always read this and enjoy the beautiful picture and the message. See, then it is readily nailable (okay so most times) and you both worked on it together....Careful though if you get too many jello works of art going then you might have problems with jealousies of ants, or is that aunts? I dunno.....
