I have been doing so well, sure I miss a day here or there but I make up for it by hitting the gym hard the next day, any really watching what I eat. This week though, Ha, yeah right. I can blame it on the fact that we had a blizzard here on Monday and it only just stopped snowing yesterday. Yeah that makes it hard to go to the gym. It really does, wasn't safe enough to be driving period let alone to the gym.
Here is what I should have done, popped in my zumba dvd and worked out. Still done my weights, and my cardio. Made sure that despite being stuck in the house for two days I didn't completely abandon my eating routine.
This is what I did. Ate crap, and than ate more crap. Didn't work out, napped a lot. Watched some movies. Moved my zumba dvd out of the way so that I didn't have to look at it.
I can make excuses, like the weather, like Hubby being off all week. He is my bad influence I am well aware of this, but he doesn't control me, I do, so blaming it on him being off isn't fair to either one of us.
I made the choice to eat like crap, I made the choice to veg out on the couch, I didn't do much cardio, although shoveling snow counts, it so counts.. Sure him and I had a blast just hanging out with each other and pigging out on food. I wasn't even aware he had been storing up junk food in the house. It was kind of fun to just be slacking and hanging out with him.
I should point out if nothing else for myself I didn't make completely horrible choices. We managed through the snow on Tuesday to have a belated birthday dinner for Hubby, Monday was to terrible out. We went to Texas Roadhouse, I had a salad, with dressing on side, green beans and a pork chop. I took have of it home and had the rest of it for lunch yesterday. My problem was I ate the bread with the butter, it was good though. So while I was vegging out a little and indulging to much, I was aware of the healthy choices and did make them, I just added to them and that's where I get myself in trouble.
It's done and over with I can't go back and undo what I did. I just can't and part of me wouldn't want to anyhow. We really did have fun, but now it's time to get back on track. To do more cardio then just shoveling snow. Although, seriously I was sore after two days of helping shovel snow.
My plan get back on my routine of eating right. Today that included a homemade breakfast burrito. It's got eggs, a whole wheat tortilla, turkey bacon and salsa. One for breakfast, one for lunch, a snack of yogurt before hitting the gym and getting in cardio and weights. Dinner haven't picked what it will be yet but it will also be healthy.
Side note, I signed up for a race on the 28th. It's alot like the Color Run it's called the Graffiti Run. Looking forward to it and super excited that I was able to get a race in despite all the snow we seem to have. Next race to sign up for is the Bolder Boulder.
