So my 40 days of juicing total is -30.8 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*** Punching PCOS in the face**** don't ever come back - you are not welcome here.

Ok.. after the jumping up and down and muffling of screams of happiness ( live in condo and didn't want to have security at my door) I calmed myself enough to make my morning juice. I am in shock. Not only have I lost weight on day 40 of a plan but it happened during my monthly friend time! My whole family is ecstatic because they have never ever seen me succeed this well in any plan before. Even on Paleo it took 4 mos to lose the 40lbs (which is amazing too considering the opposition of my body).
It truly makes this hard plan much more bearable and I know for sure when I am done withe the strict version of the plan that I will still have juicing in my life.

19 days left until I hit day 60. I am almost there. So these next 19 days will be filled with facing the issues head on and not avoiding them and Planning the breaking of the fast. I am looking for easy yummy veggie meals for the first 4 days and will add chicken and fish in the following few days until the body adjusts at which point I can put back the steak ((( big fat juicy one))) into my plan at which point I will back in Paleo mode. Juicing will remain in my life. I will start my day with the hot water and lemon, and a juice breakfast. Also keep the mean green as my snacks of my day. That should be able to keep enough nutrients in my body. As most of you have noticed I really have researched juicing- I wanted to be as successful at this( If Phil the truck driver could get healthy why not me?) So I am researching how to keep my body at its best without being on a total juice fast.
I will be posting my findings as I come across them.

I want to thank again all my emoticon cheerleaders emoticon here who have made the 40 days much more bearable- mostly because of the emotional issues that pop up out of nowhere on a daily basis. You make me want to keep on going and fine tuning the plan until I make it to the finish line. emoticon

A very happy and excited
Ven

I am imagining it now and the security guys are joining you and you all are having a great time. Oh what fun. Danes don't dance, you ever seen those wooden shoes, there is no way you are going to be doing any of those fancy moves in those things. LOL

SimCyn LOL can you imagine me going OPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA and the security shows up LOL

I think you should check dr. Furman's book Eat to Live (I think that is what is called) if you haven't already. It's mostly veggie based so I think you might enjoy that. Reading so much on juicing I have seen that many become vegetarians or vegans. I have tried in the past, but I am Greek and I think we are carnivores LOL
Like in the movie My big fat Greek wedding when the aunt says : " What you mean you eat no meat? Ahh ok I make you Lamb! " LOL

Wish my pcos was only with the long breaks, mine was nasty 2 years ago to the point that I was house bound :( and thought I would die from the blood loss LOL I know I laugh now cause today I am a normal woman who can function during her friend days LOL Hopefully both of us won't have to suffer anymore :D
Can you Greek dance? Go for it with me OPPPPPPPPPPAAAAAAAA!

Time2Bloom I think the latest success story on the rebootwithjoe.com site has ms too and said that his flare ups are down. Maybe you can do it for a week? You don't have to do an extended time.

For your question about foods: I eat a quarter of a cup ground flax seeds which I put some spices in to change the flavor up and I chew it. So it takes away that need to chew that was a constant nightmare the first week. I also have decided that for the 60 days I will avoid attending events that might trigger old eating habits. But the most important things is that i am PREPARED. I won't go anywhere without having water, Juice or my herbal teas with packets of monk fruit sugar on me. I don't want to give anyone or anything the opportunity to take my focus away from my goal. And once I started feeling this good, to tell you the truth foods just didn't matter. What mattered was the deep sleep I am getting ,the normal Periods, the normal blood sugars, the strong nails, the thicker eyelashes and the clearer glowing skin. :D With those on my side, there is no need to avoid food, because food doesn't matter and I know I will have it in 3 weeks. This is only temporary.

Revived : you should not fear what will happen if...
Just do it. I am counting on this feeling of health that I have right now and the fact that I have the period of a normal woman to be enough motivation to keep me on track. I don't ever want to feel the way I felt last year or 3 mos ago after I butchered my paleo plan.
But rest assured I will be keeping you all posted on the transition period :D

Momma2Ski Thank you!!!!!!!! You are proof that when you make changes in your eating it does work! You are not that far behind me in the loss :D so that gives me hope when I switch over to paleo with juicing that the loss can continue

Can I join you in punching PCOs, I hate it. The only thing I ever liked about it was the every 9 months cycles I had when I was younger. Now that I am older, my cycles are more normal. I blame it on my daughter, I think she inundated me with so much estrogen when I carried her that she threw me into normalcy, well, as normal as I can get. She is such a girly girl. How did that happen? LOL

You should have screamed out loud even though you live in a condo. After all, you are Greek, so your neighbors would understand.

I don't know what I want to do after the juicing. I am not a big meat eater. I am thinking vegan without gluten. I will have to see. I know I have to do protein and it is harder to do with vegan. It's a ways off. I will see.

So you have someone in Iowa joining you in celebrating. 30 pounds is unbelievable. You are definitely going to make it!

Awesome !!! I have got to get myself going on a juice fast. I have MS which is kicking my butt again. I have been drinking a quart to a quart and a half a day of fresh homemade juices. It's not enough to beat it though. I know in my heart I must do a juice fast. Thank you for posting your results.

I would love to hear how you have the willpower to avoid eating solid foods.

I still juice at least twice a day. I love tossing different veggies in a Tbls of olive oil and roasting them. It was a great way to reintroduce solids.

I'm really interested to see how the process of breaking it goes for you. I would love to see a "where are they now" feature on Phil. When I finally commit to a long juice fast, I'm terrified I'll gain the weight back. Wishing you success!

Congrats, very impressed! I haven't had the courage to go "total juice". I am on day 48 (started March 1) of doing 1-2 juices a day and I am down 20 pounds. (I'm eating primarily Paleo when consuming food).
I am very impressed with your commitment and dedication.

Great job on the 40 days! What an achievement! I'm happy you have found health and happiness despite the restrictions of a juice fast. You are in the home stretch now hun, keep up the positive energy and perseverance.
