Praying for West, TX

Thursday, April 18, 2013

This has been such a tragic week.

With my dad living in Waco, I can not count how many times that I've been through West. It's been a while since I've stopped for kolaches (not in my nutrition plan), but that is definitely a dear memory for me.

Praying for the families who lost loved ones. Praying for all those who are physically and emotionally affected. Praying for those who lost their homes

May God bring them comfort.
May God give them grace.

To be honest I never new there was more than the delicious bakeries in West, TX. But since this tragedy I've been made aware of the people. Both the people hurt by this and the wonderful hearts of all of the people who are helping there. God bless them all during this time.

That's just a terrible thing to have happened.

I love West Texas. It's one of my favorite places on Earth. I'm hoping to get in good enough shape to go back there, and hike, again.

I agree with all you had to say.

So tragic. It's ben a very rough week for sure. The one consolation to me with this one is that it wasn't something purposely set by someone. There are probably things that were missed at the factory to prevent this, which is so tragic also, but in a different way than a bombing. I'm praying for all of them. I work with elderly and disabled and part of my job takes me into a couple of nursing homes here and so the thought of what the nursing home and the residents there were going through especially hits me. But also all those who lost everything in their homes or apartments in the blink of an eye, and those who lost loved ones or who are injured. I read a few minutes ago that some that are still missing are some firemen. Definitely prayers for everyone.
