This morning, I stepped on the scale and was overjoyed to discover that I've officially lost 40 pounds since renewing my commitment to healthier living on January 1. In all, I've lost 66 pounds since I saw the highest weight I'd ever seen on the scale. I'm currently 2.8 pounds away from the goal I'd hoped to reach by the time we leave for Disney on April 27. I'll have to work hard, but I think I can do it.
I'm a little nervous about our trip to Disney and it's pact on my weight (we bought the dining plan, and will be going to lots of fabulous restaurants throughout the trip), but at least I know this will be a very active vacation. Plus, I've managed to lose and/or maintain weight on two separate trips this month, and I made it through the dreaded Easter buffet without overindulging, so I'm feeling fairly confident about my abilities to handle this trip.
When I lose about 8 more pounds, I'll be roughly at my wedding weight. 20 more pounds until I'm at the lowest weight my husband has ever seen me. (And also the weight I was when I graduated from high school. Approaching these benchmarks is extremely exciting!
