Boy, this week has been a kick in the teeth, hasn't it? Wow. West Texas, we are praying for you!
For me, last night was a bit of a return to "normal", whatever that is. I watched the ballgame (Go Sox!), cried at the memorial before the Bruins game, and slept the sleep of the truly exhausted.
Before that I hit up both a half hour core class (oww oww oww) and an hour long cardio/strength class. Got a great sweat on, and I felt great! Knees even behaved like they are supposed to, thank goodness! For those who asked, I do have one more PT appointment prior to my race. He has been awesome at guiding me through this whole training season, for which I am eternally thankful. The idea of stopping my PT actually has me a bit sad. It's like having an awesome coach and doctor all in one!
Anyway, last night's dinner was just a simple salad with chicken on it. Easy and tasty. I had some dried apricots afterwards too.
Today I made eggs and bacon with sliced bell peppers for breakfast. I have a piece of salmon for lunch and some green beans and guacamole for snack. I find I'm back in a cycle of wanting simple food, and that's fine by me!
I did sneak on the scale this morning and I shouldn't have. It's not behaving, which is why I was staying off it in the first place! Geesh! I need to hide that thing somewhere.
