The scale is not my friend this week :(

I am juror #6 emoticon
I have been able to get out of or excused from jury duty for the past 23 years. So apparently it's my time. It's all good, I don't mind it, but I am learning a lot!

I am feeling incredibly guilty that I am not there for my students during the most difficult part of the semester for them emoticon

Not feeling warm and fuzzy about our court system. I hope that changes by the end of the trial (they say we'll be done Friday).

I have a new found appreciation for people who work full time and still have time for fitness and a healthy lifestyle!!! I have felt so incredibly drained the past 2 days. It's horrible! I just don't have the energy to go out and get a walk in or anything. I don't know how you do it!!!! And the scale shows it fo'sho!! emoticon

I am hoping to get back in the swing of things SOON! Vegas is next week baby, I can't have those few extra pounds hanging around!

Being a juror really opens your eyes doesn't it? Hope you guys are done today and life can get on! P.S. Enjoy Vegas!

It sounds to me like YOU are not your friend this week! Your hands are full and so is your mind. Don't be harsh on yourself by criticizing your lack of energy which is more than normal! Things will get easier, jury duty will be over and your energy will slowly be back. Just give yourself and your mind some time to rest.
Good luck!

I had one day of jury duty. I took a long walk at lunchtime. Lood guck. And see if you can take some stairs during the day.

You will get everything back when you get back to normal (whatever that happens to be). I have complete faith in you.

Enjoy your "experience" of the justice system.

You and I are always so in sync - I'm clearly not on jury duty (knock on wood) but the scale and I are not friends right now.

I'm sure you can get things under control though - take the stairs at the courthouse, do a couple extra flights, jog to the potty ;) These are things we full-timers do to keep fit even when we are stuck in a work situation all stinkin' day long.

They used to let teachers delay being a juror until summer..but then you miss your summer. Good luck getting back on track before Vegas. You can do it!
