Utter confusion

Wednesday, April 17, 2013

Since I got a test result of prediabetes the other day I have read a lot of confusing information. You shouldn't eat more than 10 carbs per meal for 8 weeks and you will "cure" yourself of metabolic syndrome. You should eat healthy fat every meal to cure yourself of diabetes and you can eat up to 50 grams of carbs each meal. You should eat 4 meals a day. You should eat 3 meals a day. You should eat 6 meals a day. You shouldn't eat whole grains and beans. You should eat whole grains and beans. You get it...

I don't know what to do!!!! All I know is if I don't eat oats in the morning I don't have enough energy to workout. Sigh... That is all for now. I wonder how I will ever decide what to do?

I just cut back on carbs but not totally I try for the low end or just below what sp suggests... ease off on fruit.... bread... sugar... I eat vegetables to get my carbs and gave up bread... have protein with every meal... fats like nuts in small amounts or avocados are good..just ease off on the sweet stuff ... eat lots of greens .. spinach... swiss chard... kale...etc.. and exercise can kill diabetes on its own. emoticon
