Kindness

Wednesday, April 17, 2013

It never ceases to amaze me how thoughtful and kind people can be, and how prayers can be answered in the most unexpected ways. I have been dealing with a lot of health issues over the last few months and ended up in the hospital for 8 days as a result. I work two jobs and the doctor thought it would be best if I only went back to one of them for a few weeks to build up my strength before returning to both. This meant that I would not have a paycheck from my second job. We also had a lot of medical bills that just started coming due. I was a little stressed and have been praying for assistance to get through this time period. I put it in God's hands and new that things would work out.
Today I got the mail and there was letter from a friend who I haven't seen in about a year. We have talked on the phone a few times, but I hadn't told her about the financial strains. I opened the letter and there was a copy of three wonderful stories of friendship and generosity. In addition there was a letter saying that she had been praying for me and that she knew that with such medical difficulties there were usually financial difficulties that went with it and that she hoped that this would help. She had included a check that was the same amount that I would have earned from my second job. This was so unexpected. I am overwhelmed by her kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity. God does answer prayers in the most unexpected ways. emoticon

Amazing things happen, when you let go of your burdens and fully give them to God...

Congrats for having truly amazing friends to help you out, without asking. Hugs Chica!
