Spring that is to long in coming......

Wednesday, April 17, 2013

I see hope in my garden! I have daffodils that are just starting to bloom out, other signs of life in my garden, trees budding out, grass greening.... winter has stuck around way to long!

I NEED to be in my garden, for my physical and mental wellbeing! My garden is my happy place. Work has been stressful and just life in general at this time in my life... so Spring Hurry up and make an appearance!!!

I like your description of your garden being your 'happy place." I am a novice gardener, but I guess my garden is that for me, too, as I begin every day there to see what's going on with my perrenials, annuals, shrubs, and vegetable plants and really enjoy that time. All new growth is exciting for me. And the plants are so happy after a rain. Your plants looks so healthy, I enjoyed viewing them on your spark page this morning. Have a super day.

I'm with you -- our spring is slow, too. I finally got out in my gardens on Friday and planted a bit before the rains came. My gardening and canning hobby is too much work but a day like that makes me remember how much I love working outside in the yard. I've got one tulip blooming and they are usually long gone by now. My lilies are just starting to pop up in places. I hope they didn't freeze out this year. Enjoy!

I'm so tired of Chicago weather. I need sunshine & some warmth! I bought seeds months ago for "cool weather crops" . With all the rain I haven't been able to get them in the ground. Now I'm worried that we're going to go from rainy spring to HOT summer.

Gardening really is great for our mental well being!

It's springing out all over here in Ohio, especially with all the rain. Hope you're able to get into the garden real soon. emoticon

I hope it keeps getting better in your garden. We all need that kind of place.

I couldn't see if my trees are budding - it's been raining too hard. But the thunder last night was certainly Spring-y weather!

I am so waiting for my daffodils...not much of a gardener, but their bright colours always make me feel better!
