Exercise isn't boring!

Wednesday, April 17, 2013

I went to water aerobics for the second time last night. I am sore today, but not as sore as I was after the first time I went. I'm going to go again tonight. It is pretty fun to get a full body workout in the water. I LOVE the water. It was pretty chilly out yesterday, and today, but the water was warm. Tonight's workout is in the shallow end of the pool, I've done the deep end for the last two, so this will be an interesting change. I really sleep good when I exercise after work. I'm really glad that I am expanding my exercise options, that makes me feel like I have multiple choices when it comes to burning those calories. I get bored when I try to get all my fit mins in with one exercise, at one place. I don't do well with monotany.

Tim switched jobs within the company he started at on Monday. I am glad, this new position sounds like it will suit his skills much better. The other was a little more money and a lot more work. This one is doing the same thing he's done for years now. He sounds pretty happy about it. It also looks like he'll get home this weekend, which makes me happy. He's been enjoying his training in Oregon. The company is just outside the city he wants to move to, so he's been driving around and checking out the area in the evenings after his training is done. I miss him when he's gone, but I'm so glad that he sounds excited and optimistic about this new company. They have a gym and weight room on site, so he's able to get a little exercise during the week when he stays there, that's a great thing, as we all know.

I made a large batch of lentils with ham after Easter, and froze a bunch of it. I'm still eating off of that pot of beans! I love it. It's so nice to have good food ready for me when I get home. I have to start thinking of what the next big batch of food will be. It seems to be the only way I get steady nutrition, when it's prepared already. Otherwise I fall into the trap of grabbing things after work, and we all know how exepensive and bad that can be.

Today a client brought me a homemade birdhouse that looks like an old, red barn. It is so cute. I have a painting in my living room that my Aunt did of a red barn, and this birdhouse is more decorative than functional, so it goes perfectly with my red barn painting in the living room. I love that my clients are so generous, and talented! So many of them bring in homemade items that are really delightful. As usual, I love my job. Sometimes I think of things to complain about work, but today I'm just thankful. Thoughfulness of others makes my world sweet.

Spark it up, life is so much better when we do!!

I wish that I had access to an indoor pool for exercises. That would be one advantage of living in the city and going to a gym! Great exercise, keep it up!
