To train or not to train....

I posted a while ago in one of my blogs that I was training for a half marathon, but at that time had not found one I wanted to run. Well, I have finally found one I am planning on running in the fall.... Sept. to be exact. I am thinking of postponing my half marathon training schedule until the race gets closer. I have other 5k and 10k races planned. As far as seriously training for my half, I think I am going to stop where I am at now, keep running and pick up where I left off once my half gets closer. I will work on speed and endurance workouts. Since I have made the decision to take a break from my regimented training schedule, I feel a little less ridged, less stressed about completing my scheduled workouts. I could also go back to training with a novice 5 or 10k program for the purpose of staying on a program.
