So, I took my measurements today....

Wednesday, April 17, 2013

And there is a BIG difference.

I didn't measure back when I started the weight loss journey all over again on January 4th 2012, but I had my old measurements from 2011 when I was around 189 pounds. I actually started 2012 off at 199, 10 pounds more than where I started in 2012, so I am sure the bigger measurements were probably slightly bigger. All measurements are in inches.

So, here they are:

Neck - 14.5
Today - 13.25

R. Bicep - 13
Today - 11

Chest - 40.5
Today - 37.5

Waist - 43
Today - 34.5

Hips - 46.5
Today - 42

R. Thigh - 24.125
Today - 22.0

I am pleased with my progress. I have lost a total of 38 lbs since I re-started my journey. My dedication and hard work have finally paid off. It all shows in the numbers! I don't intend to ever go back to where I was before. I have made this a lifestyle and fully intend to keep it that way.

That's almost 10 inches off the waist! What a key accomplishment for good health!
The lifestyle changes are the key. It's just that as I've gotten older, other issues crowd in and I have had to find my way back to "keeping the main thing...the main thing"!

Wow, losing over 21 inches off the body is a tremendous acomplishment. I am jealous. But now inpired to keep working at it. I am making progress on my waist and hips, but still struggling at thighs. Any suggestions?
