I did two of Dr. Jo's videos today: one for shoulder, one for neck. The neck one I need to do daily! The shoulder one was good but would have been better for me last week when I had more shoulder pain. I will keep doing those stretches but will try one of her other videos for the shoulder, some use resistance bands, some weights, and I'll see if those are good for where my shoulder is at this point (some pain when I move in certain directions). I'm taking notes so I don't have to use the videos every day, but just as a reference from time to time. I'm also going to do some for the back, etc as every body part on me needs work! BTW it's DoctorJo, as there is also a Dr. Jo online! Doctor Jo is a physical therapist and has a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
I'm happy I've found these videos. I've done PT many times and do have the handouts from those sessions, but it's nice to actually see someone demonstrate how to do the exercises, as it is so easy to forget or to get sloppy in how you do them when you are dismissed from PT. And if you get sloppy and aren't doing them right, they aren't helping and could be hurting you.
Later: my shoulder is slighty achy, so those exercises are probably the best ones to stick to for a few more days! Achy is okay. Any pain with exercises is not good!
