    I think you are on the right track there. I too have a fast food addiction and even just a general addiction to food and I would say that what works for me is never giving in to the craving. Do I allow myself the food? Yes, but I make sure I don't really have a taste for it when I have it and when I do have it I make sure to eat a correct portion size which is almost never what they give you so I have to measure it out or split it. So in this way, it becomes more like any other food I don't have a craving for :-)
