My Wellness Work Challenge has done wonders for me. It is over a week from today and I am not only on track but I'm about to surpass all of the goals set and have already past one. It's got me adding strength training that I was lacking in before, it's got my cardio miles up and I've even began adding some more cardio that I hadn't had before that's increased my toning. I started to worry last week, however, what would I do without the accountability once our challenge is over? So I looked into 5k's in the area with a friend and am probably going to sign up for our local Flood Run in June and Hard Charge which is an obstacle course that will be in my area in July. That will keep up my accountability for cardio and even for strength training as I'll need it for July. But these are things to build up to, I was still worried about throughout this time.
To the rescue: one of my girls Shawna. Shawna is an amazing women, she's lost 55 pounds with TurboFire and is now a rep for them. She decided to put together a group for a 90 day challenge AND we get a price break. I'd been looking at TurboFire but was deterred with the price and worried that like other DVD's I have they'd just collect dust. BUT with the accountability I'd need to maintain for her and the others in the group I thought this is just what I need so I ordered it yesterday and had her sign me right up. I then convinced my roommate to do it and my other friend who had actually brought it to my attention and was teeter tottering.
I don't have as much to lose as others I'm actually just looking to burn more fat and tone up but not knock the scale to much while others are wanting to lose anywhere from 20-50 pounds. But I'm happy to do it, it adds variety to the group. My roommate is in a similar boat as me and my other friend wants to lose maybe 20 pounds but since I talk to these girls daily I think we'll be great motivation for each other.
I will check back probably once a month with my results in hear so others can possibly benefit from my journey as well:) Before pictures will be taken next week!
