I have officially declared myself a runner. I can just walk outside of my door and start running for 30-45 minutes at a time. I seem to be pacing a little over 11 minutes a mile. This is something that I never thought that I would be able to do. The sad part is that it's easy for me. So I need to learn how to push myself harder and get my heart rate up. I guess all of the cardio training that I have been doing at the gym is finally paying off. The routes that I run have hills. Some little but one is basically just one steep run up and one steep run down. I used to jog/walk with the jogging stroller and my heart rate would get high but now I kinda miss the stroller not that my heart rate is barely making it into my sport zone 1. Now I'm looking into running 5/10ks. There is one by me on July 4. I will sign up for that one since we will be in town.
The scale hasn't been my friend but I'm making strides in other healthy areas that I'm sure that the scale will catch up. I was just thinking that originally my goal weight was 150lbs which I reached the end of February. Looking over my past weigh-ins I have been basically maintain my weight over the past 7 weeks. Yes I have been up and down but I have been basically playing around with the same 2.5lbs. Maybe my body is just getting comfortable where it is and once it has settled and I continue to make healthy strides and refine my eating habits, that the extra weight will come off.
I'm feeling much better about my progress now that I have written everything out. Well, until next week
