Take 1 set of tight calves, add light rain, a killer headwind and one really pissed off attitude and what do you get? A personal best on the 5K, apparently.


That's what I did last night. Previously my absolute best road 5K was around 37 minutes. Last night it was around 35. And while my knee was a bit sore (thanks to the tightness), not too bad. I stretched it out and things are good!

Still, I feel rather gross and bloated this morning, and my pants agree on the bloated part. :( That makes me sad, especially since today is the day the bloat should go AWAY, cyclically speaking. Ah well. I will keep focused and it will be fine. :)

I stopped at the store this morning since my fridge is sadly empty. So now I have a bag of fruit and veggies (green beans and guac. YUM) to go with my small salad for lunch, a packet of almond butter for snack, and I had some eggs for breakfast.

I'm debating going to the active class tonight. It is a great class, but the step still concerns me a bit when it comes to my knee. But I probably will, since I'm going away this weekend and won't get nearly as much exercise as normal.
