As Lis says, Knowledge is power! Lol

Yesterday I increased my water and lemon intake quite a bit....but I know I am still not eating enough in the day. I think the cold is not helping either. So as soon as I get better I really am going to focus on eating decent meals, and not eating like a bird. I do know that once the fresh produce starts coming in that is local and cheaper, I will eat a lot more good stuff!

I am enjoying reading "The Plan" and it is very interesting! I am still trying to get my head around it all, but I will as I get more familiar with the book and website and I know some of you have done it , so I have a "go to" there if I have questions! ( thanks for that!)

Yesterday I got a lot done on the manuscript, and Dh was supposed to go to a meeting last night and I was going to use the time to do more work. He ended up being too exhausted to go and so I went grocery shopping instead. I can't believe what I did, it only hit me AFTER THE FACT, but I promised to bring him home a treat, So I got him a slice of cheesecake ( very small) because I know he loves it and I got a carrot cake square. I was tired and I remember thinking I should get the chocolate mousse type dessert...I knew there was a reason why, but dismissed it while I debated the cost, the mousse dessert was a dollar more expensive, so without thinking, and waiting for that "reason that I could not think of" to dawn on me, I got the cheaper option: Carrot cake. ( also happens to be a favourite)
Anyway I get home, it was 8:30 pm, had a hot bath and we had our treats!

Only as I was going to bed did it dawn on me!

UGH!!!! NOW I REMEMBER THE REASON I SHOULD HAVE PICKED THE CHOCOLATE MOUSSE OPTION!!!! - WHEAT!!!

Duh!

I can tolerate small amounts of sugar and I can tolerate dairy etc, but wheat, NO! NO! NO!
Ugh! Seriously, I can't believe I did that! You would have thought I would know by now! So ladies, If I can make a slip up like that, anyone can and I need to move on! It was not an intentional slip, but I should know better. Of course the scale is up this morning, Not a surprise! Sigh! Lesson learned!

So back to my lemon water, dandelion tea and THINKING before I eat! I bought LOADS of veggies and fruit and am ready for a good day!

I didn't sleep the best last night, but I think once the congestion goes, I will sleep like a ...well the saying is baby, but babies don't sleep well.

My son talks in his sleep! LOL

Anyway I hope that you all will have a great day! Learn from MY mistakes...if you have a niggling feeling about something, wait until it surfaces before going ahead with your seemingly innocent choice.

The good news is I am working on my water intake, less coffee than ever, so that is good!
One glass of water down already! YAY!

    Correct - babies don't sleep! LOL! Soon though, right? She'll be 3 months this weekend! Both of my boys talk in their sleep too!

Hope you keep feeling better! And can eat more regularly, decent meals!

As for me, I'm doing good. Lots of exercise this week and healthy eating too! Tomorrow is my weekly weigh in day. I'm trying not to focus on that number too much, but it should would help to see some more of this baby weight coming off!

I slipped up too. Today I mindlessly ate some sugar emoticon
These cute little German Chocolate Cake squares came with my Indian food from the other night. I was so good at the time; I put them into the freezer immediately. Well, I shoulda thrown 'em away probably. Tonight, as the stress of the week bore down on me, I pulled them out and popped 'em in my mouth. *ugh*
S'ok though, b/c I am looking forward to tomorrow...and i still stayed in my calorie range.

    Being tired and shopping don't go together... I hope you at least enjoyed every bite of that carrot cake!
Great blog about the additives - bottom line: if it needs a label, don't eat it! One ingredient foods are best. An apple is an apple, apple juice is suspect to say the least...

    It's so difficult to shop when tired and/or hungry - I'm sorry that your tum had to deal with the wheat.

After the three months of no hard yellow cheese, when I went onto my plan to eat more protein, I added cheese back into my shopping basket. Once I've eaten all of the cheese in my fridge, I'm going back to being hard-cheese free - there's bloat, there's blocked sinus, there's occasional headaches ... this is obviously not what my body wants ... and maybe this has got in the way this month.
