Sure It's great that I can inspire others to DO. But it would not be serving of me if I did not also inspire others to TAKE A BREAK when you have to. This comes from one who completed an intense Crossfit class and an intense Boxing bootcamp class with a 5k walk thrown in for flavoring on Monday. Then followed it with a 5k run on Tuesday morning and a 5k walk on Tuesday night. Today I am knocked on my ass. I should have listened to it yesterday when It told me to chill out. Now I am paying for it. I can hardly walk. Not fun! So listen to me when I say. It's ok to rest when you have to. Don't overdo it...better to be safe then sorry

    Very, very sorry to hear about the aches and woes. Have you ever noticed that when you are in the teacher / trainee mode, you often push harder than ideal? We are told that adds to the intensity for the class, but I think there are other ways to bring that out to participants. Also, I find that I benefit from a longer warm up period. Longer than what is provided in most classes. I do it for myself (the longer warm up) by doing "something" before a more intense activity, even if I have to fit it in myself.

    Good advice! With all of my various injuries, I try so hard to listen to my body very carefully now.

WoW -- you crazy woman -- you are hard core! That was a TON of exercise.
I bet that massage helped a lot.
Hope you are resting as much as life permits and feeling better soon!

    Thanks Jo, however that's easier said than done for me. I still have to go to class. We are having a field trip which includes a tour of the facilities as well as a spin class mixed with a bootcamp style workout. I will attend for the tour but will leave when the workout begins or maybe I will sit and watch. I don't want to miss out on an opportunity to network. I managed to get in a hot bath and my massage therapist squeezed me in so at least now I can move about slowly. No exertion for me today.

    Remembering to rest is one of those things I often forget to do. I expect to have enough energy to go full tilt from 6am till midnight every night -- except I function poorly on less than 7 hrs a night. Like you, today I've hit a wall of exhaustion, and the best remedy is rest. Not TV, not trying to get caught up on housework, but real rest, don't move for a couple hours rest. Now to remember how to do that myself. :-D
