The day began with snow and rain falling from the sky and then the next storm blew into the kitchen and we call it Isaac. For some reason he woke up with an angry attitude and he never was able to quite shake it all day long. Guessing he was just too tired from three busy days in a row. So I kept pushing him as we had to get to his physical therapy appointment at 8:45. We got there and it was time for him to go and the therapist came out right on time but invited a different family back. I then asked the receptionist and found out the therapist had failed to set Isaac up for every week and we weren't even on the schedule. We packed up and headed home. Once home I started laundry and schoolwork. We had lunch at Subway and then did odds and ends until time to take Isaac to the university to meet Kenzie for his time with her today. Maegann and I then headed to the bank to make some deposits and then went to TCBY and had some ice cream and played checkers. I've promised him some special "mom and daughter" time more often with all of Isaac's stuff. Once home I fixed supper (grilled salmon, steamed brocolli and pears) before heading out to the leadership meeting. We actually put the class schedule together fairly quickly this time and it is a solid schedule where we could put a "fun" class against an "academic" class each hour.
Tomorrow.... schoolwork and then an afternoon of therapies and piano practice. Bible study in the evening.
Gym Time Challenge. Tomorrow I plan to skip the gym as I've been running on empty this week. My goal is to go Thur/Fri/Sat instead so that will make my 3 times for 45 min. each goal.
And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good (suitable, pleasant) and He approved it completely. (Genesis 1:31)
In order for you to enjoy life, you need to know where your strengths lie. Thinking about what you're good at is not conceited; it is merely preparation to do your job with confidence. Make a list and rehearse it daily until you gain confidence in your abilities.
I also realize everything I need in life isn't on this list. I need God to bring people into my life who are strong in the areas where I am weak--this keeps me humble and reminds me that it's not all about me.
What are you good at? Do you even know? Have you seriously thought about it, or hav eyou been so busy thinking about what you are not good at that you have not even noticed your abilities?
Remember, God created you to be great--and you can trust His design!
(Joyce Meyer "Trusting God Day by Day")
