Vacation...and goals

Well not doing so well with my getting in an extra workout (20 mins) each day. There is only so much time. I did buy some resistance bands and two dvd's. I have the idea of setting up a small area in the unfinished basement, but right now it's still too cold. It is not a dry basement so I have to be sure that whatever I do, it's portable.

What I am doing well are two things: purging..in the sense of cleaning out clutter and stuff and refining our food choices.

The cleaning clutter is my main focus since we have a lot of it. Lots of unopened mail that needs to be shredded..I tossed two bags of trash and shredded/recycled two buckets of that mail.

As for food refining, I bought some barley and lentils to keep in place of brown rice. I made kale chips today for lunch..yum and chocolate cupcakes with just the mix, tofu and water. The kids made their own chicken nuggets from real chicken...and liked them. They liked the cupcakes too (I didn't tell them about the tofu until after they ate them).

I was battling a funk earlier (little bit of anxiety mixed with some depression type thing) in the week, but I seem to have it under control. It's actually part of my ADHD..so I made sure I worked on focus and it seems to have subsided..this is not a new occurrence for me.

Overall, I am pleased with how the vacation is going.

    emoticon Take time for you..!! I have purchased a recumbent bike for the living room..and yes..its noticeable when someone come's to visit..but that's okay..they will love me when I am healthier. And they love me right now..so what the hey?? I can set on it and peddle away while watching TV.
In fact as I write this..I too need to take time for me..so have a good night..I am going to ride the bike..
