Today I had two hearings and one conference in a neighboring county.
I came back to an emergency situation where Florida wants our county to take a case, and our judge will NOT take it and our children services does NOT want it, and I had to figure out a way to (1) get the children out of the house in our county, and (2) get the court to allow children services to pick up the children. [Yes, I know that was a poorly worded sentence - I do NOT care!]
So, I worked on the legal aspects of that whole situation, fielded many phone calls from an attorney general in Florida, texts, emails, etc. until just 23 minutes ago.
My motion is ready to go, but I need the names of the children, the journal entry from the Florida court that ordered custody back to the state of Florida, and, of course, the address where the children are right now.
I emailed the motion to myself, saved a copy on my external hard drive, and printed a draft copy.
Now, I am going upstairs to read a bit of Scottish historical fiction!
