Life feels doable again

6 years ago we lost a dear friend. To our great surprise, he appointed my husband executor of his estate. I don't know if he chose him because of my background in taxes and accounting, but I have wound up "helping" quite a bit with the taxes. And because my husband is in law school, we leave it till the last possible moment. As in we did 2009 this weekend. I am glad it's over, until next time. Though we are really truly supposed to get caught up this year.
So, small sigh of relief. It was awful to find out about the Boston Marathon in the middle of working and not have any opportunity to think about it. But it seems there won't be any answers soon on that. One odd thing I realized is that my children have no concept of Boston being THE marathon. Every major city has a marathon now, it seems, and then there's triathlons.
I didn't get to workout yesterday, which was a bummer. I plan to do double duty today, ride for 45 minutes this morning and then pull downs tonight. My supplemental strength training is getting squeezed aside so I need to get back on track with that. I could do hi rep strength, kind of like circuit training, 2x a week, pull downs 2x and cycling 2x. My daily steps have dropped a lot, but I am working out. My quads are getting pumped.
This week we're transitioning to weaning, trying to feed the tot enough he doesn't have to nurse. I already think he's nursing less, so well see. And i've been eating inside my calorie range instead of maxing it out, so that's good.
Now I can focus on following up on medical stuff and housekeeping. Maybe even do some writing this week. We'll see!
