For Granted

Tuesday, April 16, 2013

There is so much we take for granted.
Thankfully my niece was able to text me that she was okay. She was a volunteer at the Boston Marathon and witnessed the explosions and the chaos. Things can be changed or taken away so quickly. It is sad that bombers desire to inflict such devastation among the innocent.

Bad stuff does happen to the innocent, it seems that it always will, whether it be an event or diagnosis. Everything can change or be gone in an instant.

I cherish what I have in my life and pray for all those affected by the Marathon mayhem.

Yes it is a tragedy and Iam glad your niece was fine. Each day is a gift from God what we do with that gift is our gift back to a loving caring God.
Praise God that only a few were killed or injured.
I pray that fear will not control the decisions of the leaders of the Boston marathon committee.

Amen and the thing is, it seems so useless as we're not sure if they even knew these people! Vengence is mine, saith the Lord! We do take alot of things for granted and we don't know the day or the hour. Love on your family, friends and be geantle and kind to those we come in contact with. Take time out to smell the roses! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Nancy, I am glad that your niece is all right. My heart just is so sad that such a horrific thing could happen. But sure makes you appreciate the lives we have and realize, if there is to be peace, it has to start with us . . . with kinder, gentler behavior towards ourselves and others.

Thank you for your thoughts. It's a good reminder to keep things in perspective and have mindful appreciation. :) I too am glad to hear your niece is okay. Tragedies like these seem so... Idk the words but pointless, horrific, self-serving and callous on the part of whoever initiated/carried out. My thoughts and prayers are with all too. It will be interesting to see what develops/more info. :( thanks again for your inspiring post!
