Boston Marathon

Monday, April 15, 2013

My daughter was standing in the exact spot the bomb went off at the marathon today 2 hours before it exploded.
She is still in shock I think. when you are 19 years old you never really think you could die and I think today she realized that yes you can. Her school is offering counseling tomorrow and I hope she talks to someone.
I am so grateful, happy and sad tonight. if you pray please pray for the people and families that are suffering tonight.

So glad to hear that your daughter is safe, as a mother you must have been worried sick.

Praying for all!

I will add your daughter especially to my prayers. I read a tweet this morning from a UK runner - who said 'running a marathon will never be the same again' - I think that sums up how widely affected we all are by this shocking event.

Thoughts and prayer to all. So sad, these are not combatants, political officials, etc. Just athletes and friends of athletes out for a person challenge and a charity event. Senseless, and shows the lack of any moral compass on the part of the bombers and their handlers.

I am glad your daughter is okay. I think this tragedy is going to hit a lot of people close to home. So sorry for her. She's physically okay, but I'm sure she'll be mentally a little off for a while. I don't know how a person bounces back from that kind of thing.
