I have been doing pretty well. I got some orthothics and I have been doing some exercises, and my foot/ankle pain is much better. Today I walked a mile with only a little pain, so i am very happy about that.
It was my 51st birthday last week and also my nephew's birthday, so I went to 2 parties with cake and also a big dinner out, and I didn't do too bad. Yes, I had cake, (ok too much cake!), but I kept focused and relatively on track. I am considering the week a victory even though I went over my calories on a few days, since I ate only meals and planned snacks, and had no binges. I also walked as much as I could, about 10 minutes a day.
I got some money for my birthday and I want to get some new workout clothes and a hula hoop to exercise with. It looks like fun!
Turning another year older strengthens my resolve to make my 50s the healthiest decade for me! I spent my 30s and 40s being obese, and I am going to be healthier for the golden years.
