I started my Physio today. We are going to work on strengthening my back, legs and hips. I was there for 1 1/2 hours today but it will be about 1 hour twice a week. I have an added bonus because I take the bus and have to walk to the clinic. I also have to walk back to the bus afterwards. Today that walk was painful and wiggly but I hope as I do more therapy, I get stronger and after the physio , don't hurt quite as much. LOL.
We are starting the G.I. Diet tomorrow. We have been mostly on it all weekend but not completely. Tomorrow we go full on. Since I was told I am borderline Diabetic, I have not had ANY sugar. I lost 2.2 lbs this week and maybe more because I didn't weighin last MOnday and think I likely gained that week. We'll never know.
I am down to 17 cigarettes a day and tomorrow I go to 16. I am doing great at this as well. I am on a mission. I am still monitoring my BP and some days it is in the low 150's/80's not good. When I finally am quit with the cigarettes I expect it to stabilize.
I have not been active on Spark this past week, even after we got up and running. Our DD came for a weekend visit and we went to see DS singing and dancing in the play The Rocky Horror SHow. What a fabulous production. The crew won several awards for the regional awards and he is having a great time. They have been rehearsing since September and learning to dance and all the singing and lines etc. It is such an energetic show. After the play we met friends for dinner out. I have always planned to eat well and then when we go out I go crazy. This time I ordered broiled Tilapia with brown rice infused with black currents and rapine and carrots. I also had some carrot soup. It was all delicious and I felt so proud of myself for being able to enjoy my evening and still stay in range and make good choices.
I have been very busy today and am just getting some down time now. I won't get onto my teams or to talk to friends today, but tomorrow I finally have a free day. i have exercises to do twice a day for physio but after that I am on my own.
I want to thank everyone who commented on my last 2 blogs. I was not able to thanks each of you individually as computer was down but I want you all to know that the suggestions for ways to get on track were so helpful and made me feel so much better.Thank you all.
