Okay so the first milestone would probably have happened regardless...but I'd always told JD he wasn't allowed to propose to me until I was under 200 pounds. Well GUESS WHAT!!!!!
JD had my parents in on the whole thing and they got me to show up to the stadium, where he was waiting between the 7 and 6 yard line. (He's number 76). He had a table that his grandfather had made his parents for their wedding. On that table was the heart box he made me for our first Christmas. He engraved "Will You Marry Me" on a plaque which he attached to the inside and made a ring box for the ring.
I was super excited.
He's amazing. The field is scheduled to be removed today and he's getting the piece of turf we were standing on for the proposal.
Isn't it beautiful!!!
I can't stop smiling!
Then two days later, I ran my first half-marathon. I definitely have SparkPeople to thank for that.
During the first 2 miles, my shins began to hurt. At mile 4, my knees started to hurt. In between mile 7 and 8, my back started spasming. Many times I wanted to give up, but I couldn't disappoint myself or all my SparkFriends. I kept pushing through. I only had to walk a half mile from 11.5-12 when both my legs began to cramp, but I got to a water station and was able to run the final mile. And when I reached the finish line, my parents, best friend and FIANCE were waiting. I finished in 2:42:56! My goal was under 3 hours and I beat that by 17 minutes!!!
This weekend was the greatest weekend of my life, and it wouldn't have meant nearly as much if I hadn't reached the goals I set with SparkPeople. I'm at a healthier weight so I can be a healthy and happy bride. And I accomplished something I'd never dreamed of before I joined SparkPeople. So thank you SparkFriends for always keeping me accountable and for always supporting me through everything.
I couldn't wait to share the news with you all!!!!
And here's the video!
