Effective work out?

Well, my eating's been pretty healthy. I may have had too much pasta today but I had a great breakfast and some fruit and a light lunch. And treated myself to a low cal hot chocolate.

I did end up eating a chinese takeaway on saturday, it was soooo delicious... But maybe next weekend I can cut down some more on my fast food intake. It's so difficult when your boyfriend is sitting beside you munching away on the tastiest looking pizza slice ever!

But I should be proud, I've been doing great on the food front. As for the exercise, I went to the gym today but only stayed on the treadmill for ten minutes, my chest was going to explode. I then sat at the cross trainer for five minutes but please will someone tell me the point of those? I just feel like I'm going to smack myself off the arms as they turn around! Terrifying.

I'd like to get a better fitness routine going. Tomorrow is my strength day but I'm not quite sure what to do.. I don't have any equipment so I was thinking reps of sit ups, push ups, lunges.. does that seem like an ok idea? I'd also like to get a bit more structure into my cardio work outs, I'm kind of just doing whatever. I alternate between treadmill, step machine and whats that one you run on but -elliptical, that's the one. So I do twenty minutes of one of those three times a week.

When I say I do, I mean I intend to haha. I've only gotten back into exercising in the past two weeks after a few months' hiatus.

So yeah, that's me for today, it's been a good day and I'm feeling positive. I'm even looking forward to strength tomorrow.

PS Weigh in today 137.6 pounds. Higher than I expected, but probably the best I could have hoped for given my months of no exercising and eating takeaways.

    I found your link on the Team Stream of the Paul McKenna group. I myself am also getting back into a regular exercise routine after a hiatus. Hope you have a great weekend emoticon

    emoticon EVERY Workout is an "Effective One" in My Opinion. Keep experimenting and trying new New Things until you find a Routine that You Enjoy. Maybe paying for 1 or 2 sessions with a Trainer at the Gym would be a Good Investment if you want Help with any machines or if you have doubts about your Form.
