Moderator or Abstainer? - Food Resolution til Mother's Day

I tried both!

I like the idea of being a moderator; to be able to control myself and enjoy a little bit of what should be consumed with moderation, to be successful at resisting the temptations of indulging in "too much"! I usually can do this, however I find it difficult when I am under a lot of stress. In these circumstances, I find it it easier to be an abstainer!

Inspired by spark friends who recently posted their personal food streak ("Reset detox" and no junk food), I decided to start my "Stay in range" streak over ... again! I gave up tracking food 5 days ago; I was visiting Houston.... taking a break. And, because eating out in restaurants was the highlight of this trip, I decided to take a tracking break and just enjoy. Also, how and why tracking when most places do not offer the nutrition info for their menu? ... The truth is, I ate so much that my belly hurts!!! Being sick of eating is a good feeling, it will help me to get back on track and boost it up a notch - I will try to tackle my dietary vices!

Sugar Salt & Fat !

Here it goes. Until Mothers day (4 weeks), I will:
- stay in range;
- have 8 glasses of water daily &

- week 1: break the Sugar cycle... no sweets, no soda (diet included)!
- week 2: take control of Fat...
- week 3: take control of Salt...
- week 4: no process, just fresh! (Except for dairy products)

For now, I am trying to be successful by being an abstainer. I got rid of most of the temptations with the exception of one box of fine chocolate that I am saving for later, to celebrate the completion of my streak!

My goal: take control of emotional eating and get back to my "normal" weight range - loosing 2lbs/week...

I am also in for the Rise and Shine Challenge.

This morning is a double emoticon : 5k Run and Healthy Breakfast!

100 gr FF Yogurt - 1 pear (diced) and 1/4 C Muesli (total 225 cal) and 4 C water!
I skipped coffee... but I might have one at break.

Lastly - I am doing well on my personal Go the Distance challenge!

    Nice! I took a break for the weekend (I retro-tracked just to see how over I was) Saturday was fine, Sunday, not so much. However, I'm back to eating healthy like this too!

    I think the way I feel is that if we can learn that every so often, it is okay to eat whatever, (just try to use moderation and etc.) we will be okay!

    My goal is to not stuff myself... but like you, I get stressed or something and if I'm allowing certain foods, it is hard to cut them off.

    Good for you! I wish you the best on this challenge and will be here emoticon ing you on, for sure!

    Unfortuneately, I'm an abstainer. I have NO willpower. emoticon at 1 emoticon ? Yeah, right--only in my dreams can I stop at 1 or 2 chocolate chip cookies! But, I finally realized this and the weight has begun to come off. Go figure!

    But I will definitely be cheering you on!!

    P.S.--I missed it-what sis the Rise & Shine Challenge??
