YAY! Go me! I passed the halfway point to my goal this weekend. I finally dropped a bit over the weekend. Guess a few days of rest and still watching the food intake helped. So, as of today I have lost 65 pounds. 63 was the halfway point. So I cruised on through it.
The dance recital was a big success as always. Although we forgot a portion of the routine and ended up standing around wondering why we were ahead of schedule till it dawned on someone. But most people in the audience had no idea. Besides they know we are just dads and not real dancers. Although a few of the dads have some pretty good moves. I am not one of them, but I do my best. Saturday’s performance was much better. We remembered it all. I only had to “yell” at a few dads who thought they could tease me about dancing on stage. Reminding them they had the chance and that their daughters saw who’s dad danced and know their didn’t. Yell is really too strong a word, but I like to turn their teasing back on them. Lol
I think I a friend is hooking me up with the car so the damage won’t be quite as bad. He has a brother in law who is a former mechanic looking for side work. So he is going to do it all for me fairly cheap hopefully this weekend. Then maybe things will smooth out. We can always hope. I did not get to do any pool work for diving over the weekend though. But we are planning a dive trip to a local quarry for the Memorial Day weekend. So it isn’t too far away. I am looking forward to a lot of diving this summer. But I will be needing a new wetsuit due to all the weight loss.
My Reds are on a nose dive right now. They are riding a 5 game losing streak into a homestand so hopefully they can turn it around. I am taking my youngest daughter to the game on Wednesday and we have some pretty good seats. I think we are both looking forward to our first game of the season.
