I have a little in my right arm, along with nerve loss there following mastectomy. The edema usually isn't bad but can get uncomfortable in hot weather, and limits the kind of sleeves I can wear. Exercising the arm helps. I hope you find good help from your new teammates.

I believe I have a problem with this in my left leg. And along with it, peripheral neuropathy. I do 45 minutes of leg work in the pool in the morning and at night. Some is walking or running back and forth in the shallow end. Some is different variations on leg kicking in the deep end. I move my arms, too. When I do that, my leg doesn't swell, and I am pain free.

Perhaps this kind of work would help others with their lymphedema.

If I miss a session because of weather woes, my left leg swells and I have pain in both legs that keeps me awake at night. And I have to put on my compression stockings. (my primary physician told me I could quit wearing them after losing 35 pounds in 6 months, but I notice the leg still swells without the pool work, so I haven't thrown them out.)

  Good morning All,

I am new to the community and recently joined your group, I would like to express how moved I am to hear and fell the embrace you extend to our Sister. I am reminded of the many scriptures of miracles that Christ performed. Just a note to say he works miracles so great, Betty continue to believe God for his divine healing whether here or during the transformation. Please know that one day we will be changed. Be encouraged.

Have a blessed Day. emoticon

There may not be a cure for it from man's perspective but I know a Man who can heal it! May God touch your leg and grant new life to flow through all the veins, arteries, muscles and ligaments, in Jesus' name! Amen.

There's no cure for lymphedema, but it can be controlled. My dr. and hospitalization stay gave me white support hose. I have them still. I don't use them. I had tests (what in the world was that they did?) and I don't have any cause to be concerned now. Betty. This is a small SP and active support group online which I know you need. http://sparkpeople.com/myspark/grou

We haven't been eliminated yet!
