Ever since I posted that last blog, I've been way more motivated than I have been since I started.
My boyfriend has gained some weight since they switched his anti-seizure medication. On Dilantin he didn't want to eat at all, but the Keppra has restored his appetite. He's put on about 20 pounds since the switch, adding to his already 50 pounds overweight. In the seven years we've been together, he's never once cared about his weight or eating habits. That was until I started losing noticeable weight.
My boyfriend told me he wanted to try and lose some weight and eat better a few days ago. I was surprised, but really excited. Now when I cook, I can make his food just like mine. No more seperate or altered dinners. This saves me time, effort, and money. I'm so ecstatic. We'll both be able to fit in the bed without butting up against each other and fighting for space.
He won't be tracking his food and exercise like I am, but is pretty good about eating whatever I make. So I've come up with lean protein, fruit, and vegetable heavy meals to prepare for dinner, and have resolved not to buy any junk food for him unless it's specifically asked for (I do all of the shopping, he generally eats what I buy).
Here's to watching us both shrink together.
