Typical Saturday

Saturday, April 13, 2013

This morning my husband and daughter went off to shotgun practice and I stayed home and got some housecleaning done. I find that I really enjoy cleaning when there's no pressure to look "company clean" for an iminent visit.

They came home and we went to the birthday of a young niece - happy birthday, M! It's the big 0-4 for her. We stopped at Sam's Club on the way home and I managed to not buy any snacky junk there.

Once back home I helped my daughter with her homework a bit and then made mini muffins for church tomorrow. I have to confess that I did eat a couple of the more lopsided ones, but hopefully the oats and apples helped give them a bit of redeeming value.

And I prepared my lesson and craft for Sunday School tomorrow. We have the same lesson for the kids for a month and each teacher works in one area (I am the art teacher this month), then the groups of children circulate to a new room each week. Tomorrow I have the really little ones - preK and kindergarten. I printed off some bookmarks for them to color and then will let them help me feed them into the laminating machine.

So a nice, busy day and I got some stuff done. I'd love a whole week of this.
