This is big news. I FINALLY got my mom's buttermilk biscuit recipe right. They turned out just like mom's. Big, light, fluffy. I patted out the dough intead of rolling it out. We're having one tonight with our soup, intead of using crackers.
No more refrigerated biscuits. No more frozen pizza. It's going to be homemade, or we'll eat something else.
This morning was the big stock up shopping trip. By the time I got to the fozen foods and produce, I was hungry. I drooled over the pizzas. Red Baron was only $3.33 per pizza - and two of our favorite flavors.....Grrrr. I had to do some major self talk to pass them up. Fortunately, my favorite produce guy came out of the back just in time. We talked about tofu and bacon wrapped asparagus. The asparagus this week was gorgeous!
I'm rambling. I'm looking forward to one of those biscuits in awhile.
My husband said, "After 58 years of trying, you finally got it right."
One mission accomplished.
