My Weekly Weigh-Ins

I confess...I weigh every day, even though SparkPeople does not recommend it. I post my weight every time there is a decrease...not on consistent days.
My SparkCoach assignment today is to create a weekly weight report blog. What they recommend: weigh on the same day each week, same scale, same time, same clothing. I do all of that except for the once a week thing. So...for the sake of this report, I went to reports and wrote down my Saturday weight. That will be my weigh day for this chart. (still can't promise that I won't step on the scale every day). What I discovered is, what I called some short plateaus through my journey were not plateaus at all. I might have had a stretch of five days where my weight didn't change, but I have consistently lost weight every week. There are only two Saturdays that have the same weight. This will be a good chart to reference, even if I still weigh every day.
My SparkPeople plan projects me losing 50 pounds by June 20th. I set monthly mini-goals.

December 30 - 228

January 5 - 227.0
12 - 225.4
19 - 222.6
26 - 220.2
Mini-goal: 220 - GOAL MET

February 2 - 217.2
9 - 215.0
16 - 212.6
23 - 210.4
Mini-goal: 211 - GOAL MET

hmmm...there is no way I will lose 5 pounds in a week to meet this month's goal. But I sure am not quitting. Ever onward!!!!

wow. Three pounds in a week. I like this weekly report. I probably won't be at 193 in three days, but I am close. I feel good.
Mini-goal: 193

May 4 - 194.2 - not at my mini-goal for April, but close.
11 - 192.0
18 - 191.0 - ok, not going as fast and falling behind some. But I am not dispairing. I am losing, and that is what counts. I am going to reset my mini goals. On average, I am losing 7 pounds a month.
25 - 189
Mini-goal: 189 ....yup! goal met and I still have a week in May!

June 1 - 187.8
8 - 188.4 A slight increase, but not as bad as I would have anticipated. Our two year old grandson drowned in a pool on June 1. This week has been a challenge. I have not been on SparkPeople or tracked, but I tried to be careful. I guess I did pretty good. Tracking starts back tomorrow with a new week.
15 - 188.4 I have managed to maintain my weight while having my daughter and family for a week's visit and Vacation Bible School every night. Very, very busy week. I am ready to get back to a regular routine.
22 - 185 - Wow, I didn't realize I lost this much this week. Whoohooo
29 - 184 - not bad. Only two pounds off.
Mini-goal: 182

July 7 - Didn't weigh. Was on a trip. When I got back I was 186
14 - 184
21 - 183
28 - 182
Mini-goal: 175
When I reach 178, I will have lost 50 pounds.

Ok...this is falling too far back in my blog entries. I am going to close this one and start a new one.
So, for the first 7 months of this year I have gone from 228-182. Now onward to the last stretch.

    Have always been led to believe we shouldn't weigh every day. Perhaps instead of leading to frustration in your case it just gave you more determination! Great job! emoticon
