Another setback

Friday, April 12, 2013

Another quick turn around. My doctor's nurse came in to the radiation room to tell me to come to their clinic when I was done. I thought it was because they changed their mind about the pain meds. It was actually because a culture they did to clear me after the MRSA eye infection came back positive for a respiratory infection, and I am not allowed to go to work for at least a month. Which, for a teacher, and the way my disability works, means not this school year. So I need to go in tomorrow (hope the building is open), clean off my desk, create sub plans, and leave some kind of message for my students so they know I'm not dying. Since I don't feel bad, well, other than radiation burns, I am completely stunned. My department head is irritated, and I left a message for my principal. I am completely stunned, especially since they just cleared me to work a month ago. I did, however, get the pain meds.

I'm so sorry you're having this setback!! Hopefully, you can take the extra time to do things you enjoy and, of course, enjoy the extra time with your family. Try to look at it as a emoticon ... more time to take care of you!!

there is nothing more important then your health . Don't worry I know it is very hard about whether you will work again. etc. while you are home be the best you you can be. Eat the best and healthiest you can for the money . Get a little exercise in gentle easy exercise. Try to rest often and get a full 8 hours of sleep. Use your time off wisely, learn a new craft, or research something you always wanted too but never had the time. Look up some free classes on the web. Watch some funny movies or tv shows laughter is the best edicine. come here often to tell us how you are doing we will help you to stay positive. i will think of you often and send you some good vibes some energy , my guardian angel and hugs.

I can understand why they are keeping you home. While you are going through treatment infections are a problem. Even when you finish, you'll have to keep clear of anyone who can pass you one. When i finished I got three pages of what to do and not do. It's crazy!! i can only use certain body lotions, soaps, shampoos, etc. No flu shots, no BP or IV's into my left arm. And on and on. I hope all turns out well for you.
I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
