It's those darned early-dismissal days that get me. The kids leave at 11, and we get an hour for lunch before meetings start at noon. I have been trying to bring my lunch and avoid everyone, since the usual policy is that everyone goes out to get lunch on these days. This morning, I looked in the fridge and realized that I was out of salad fixin's and out of the low-carb tortillas that I make my sandwich with.

So I went out. I tried (sort of) to go for a healthier choice: a turkey club sandwich. The plan (sort of) was to eat half of it and bring the other half home. Well, didn't I inhale the whole darned thing. And the fries. And the cole slaw. Okay, not as bad as a cheeseburger, I guess, but the calories sure piled up quick. And I was sleepy and slow for the whole meeting.

I was bad. And I came home so wiped out that I took a nap instead of exercising. But the night is young still, so I can muster up the energy to fit something in. And I have been very strict about my calories for the past few weeks, so I know that one slip won't kill me. But it is a bit of a setback, and I'm disappointed in myself.

It was really tasty, though.

    Don't beat yourself up over one slip up. They are going to happen along the way. Tomorrow is a new day to get right back on track.
