Has anyone heard of this new type of growing your tomatoes? emoticon

Well we got it on a clearance sale at Big Lots and I just wanted to give it a try.
Bought my tomato seeds and waited till it grew a little.

Will take of picture of it today and keep you posted on if they do grow?

What do you think??? Have you ever tried one of these?

I bought something very similar to thisa Meijers, but when I tried to plant the tomato sprouts that came with the package, they were already dead. I had to laugh at myself because I'm new at gardening.

I really hope this works for you and can't wait to here that you had success!

My Mom did strawberries and they worked but it was harder to care for ...she didn't say why. Good luck.

My dad and his neighbor both tried them last year and they didn't work for them. Then they ended up getting those tomato worms on them and that made it worse . I have heard both good and bad about them. Good luck!

The neighbors did one year and it worked well. Lady year, with the drought, it was pitiful. Good luck!

Worth a try and yes I have heard of it. But, growing tomatoes in FL is really hard to do. Or maybe I just have no green thumb. It seems the heat is the culprit. Hope it works! If so, my husband would love to try it, since he use to love to grow them in Ohio!
Good luck..keep us posted! emoticon

I have seen and heard of them, and might even try them if it works for you! I have also tried growing tomatoes outside in a big pot, but they didn't grow very well so I was disappointed. I would have been better off just going to the farmer's market every week to buy them.

Have used them for the last 3 yrs! They're nice, but have help hanging it as it can be heavy with all the soil.

I started using it on a whim because my tomatoes were getting the blight. So, I though maybe it would be helpful if they weren't in the ground. Voila!

HUGS and good luck.

I have heard of them, but never tried one myself. Me and my husband tried to make our own with 5 gallon buckets with holes, but it didn't grow very well.
