Friday: Home for 4 days now

Friday, April 12, 2013

Well we are home and settled in somewhat. We have a path to the house but I have only unloaded about half the stuff from the car. I ache and need to rest. I was most concerned about getting to our medical and helping the dogs to adjust. Poor hubby is still a zombie. We took the dogs to a secondary road and just let them go and run. We walked about a mile but they ran around and were so happy taking in all the snow and birds. Fun to watch! The big dog Otto is so happy here, mostly he is happy to be out of the car. His tail wags continually. He took over little Chica's bed and now to claim it she has filled it with her stuffed toys. I am watching this and it will be interesting if he will stay out of her bed. Chica seems a little more tentative about being here. She has a harder time with the deep snow so does not want out as much as Otto. We went to the nurse practioner yesterday and I cannot believe my BP. I have suffered with high BP a lot and yesterday it was 110/70. That is awesome but strange. Charlie needs x-rays of his knees and hips to see what to do about the OA in them. He also needs to see a neurologist about his shake. All in all the visit to NP was very productive with prescription renewal for both of us. At first I wanted to go to town this morning but am now glad I changed my mind as we have snow coming down steadily out there and we do not want to drive in that. I have some interesting ideas for recipes today and the groceries to make the dishes. Should be a good day if I can just empty the car finaly and take the dogs out for walks round town.

I just can believe where ever your home town somewhere in Canada, is still in that much of snow in almost mid April? What a different form the sunny Mexico. I am sorry to hear about Charlie's shaking and knee and hip conditions. Hope it will get better. Sanding prayer on your way. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
