5:2 Intermittent Fasting week 5 fast days 1 and 1.5

This week I managed only 1.5 days worthy of fasting because Ive been ill

But in positive news Ive managed to lose 2.2lbs this week, a whole kilogram!

Ive almost finished reading the Fast Diet book and Ive found it enlightening. The second half of the book gives practical advice on how to follow the diet and this was incredibly useful.
On Wednesday evening I followed some of the advice and had a big plate of veg and a small piece of turkey. I only just managed to finish the food, Id forgotten how filling green veg was!

Only a short one this week but Ill be back with something more substantial next week!

    I workout about 22 hours into a fast (and my fasts are 0 cal - just water and herbal tea). Admittedly its only lifting weights not running or anything.

You're doing great - I've been slacking recently but I am back on it today!
19 hours into my fast and plan to do my lifting soon :)

    Sorry, but I disagree with the last commentator. I'm burning about 7,000 calories a week, according to the SP tracker, and I'm fasting 2 days a week, and having a third day of less than 1,000 calories a day. And it's fine!

    My dad was telling me about an interview he heard with the author, and is thinking about doing it, himself. I'm always open to trying new things, but definitely not at this moment, since I am in the middle of an intense workout cycle, and fasting isn't a great idea when you are burning often upward of 1000 calories a day. Glad you are getting good results!
