Let’s start off with a quick visualization exercise. Spend 30 seconds visualizing one of your most important goals. See yourself reaching this goal. What will you feel like? How will this change your life?
I have a weight loss goal right in front of me now, but I also have another goal that is starting to materialize - becoming a mental health therapist.
I want to believe it will make everything better but it won't. Not everything anyhow. However, I will be doing what I believe I should be doing - helping others. Just knowing I'll be doing what I should be will make things better. It's easier to put up with nonsensical stuff when you know you have a purpose.
